Hi to everyone who might actually read this intro. My wife and I are retired Canadians. I was a teacher and school principal for more than thirty years. Since then we have spent two years teaching English in China at a university. I have a B.Ed., B.A., and M.Ed. My wife has a B.A. and a TEFL certificate. It is our intention to spend the 2009-2010 school year in Chile, preferably teaching at a university or college in the Santiago area. Is this a pipe dream? Or, is there some hope. I am 59 and my wife is younger. I am fluent in English and French and I am learning Spanish. We will be spending three months in Mexico staying warm during the arctic-like winters in Canada. While there, I will, of course, take the opportunity to build on my Spanish abilities. I look forward to responses and building a few friendships so that we will have a better Chilean experience.
