GO GREEN IN STYLE!

Postby Gloria » Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:11 am

Say NO to plastic bags!! Handcrafted and handpainted with waterbased paints, totally made in Chile by chilean hands, 100% cotton, not available in stores, gorgeous shopping bag (or any use bag). The national flower (Copihue) is the only design available for now.
Dimensions: 15' wide X 4 1/2" deep X 27 1/2 total lenght.
Price: US$ 8.00 each plus shipping.
Don't leave Chile without it!
Serious inquiries only please!
Thanks

A serious question, Gloria, but asked out of ignorance: I know that "waterbased" means that the pigment resided in water, rather than oil; but does the term also imply that wetting the bag would make the colors run (i.e., don't get caught in a rainstorm!)?

I'm glad you asked RWS, although the paint is waterbased, I add a textile medium to fix the paint which makes it washable. I must confess that I have several garments with waterbased paint w/o any textile medium and I cannot get the paint off! Anyone in the street could figure out that I'm a painter   Well, now that I answered your question...how many would you like? :D :D

Ha! Thanks, Gloria. After arrival (tentatively set for the first of March next), I'll probably want one. The bags do look nice!

I'll take two. It's rediculous how plastic bags are used for EVERYTHING!

Boy, it only took seven minutes for Gloria to catch that post and provide details on how to conduct the transaction. It seems she took some of that old American efficiency with her.

Gloria, mi amor, I live in LA, and I’m trying to get rid of stuff rather than acquire it. When I make it to Chile, we’ll talk. I understand our good buddy El Puelche is going to put in a large order.

Oh, I had no idea you lived in LA, but it's ok, purchasing little gifts will get you far in Chile.Need a favor? "pay it" back "con un cariñito" of wine with one of my bags and you'll look like a charm....they'll think...this gringo is loaded....yeah, loaded alright but not with dollars jajajaja.
El Puelche?? yeah, he already placed his order....too bad he wants to pay with Monopoly money, so I turned him down...no way José, nobody messes with my money
