Piedra Roja Casas de Hacienda Chicureo

Postby wayne7639 » Fri Oct 03, 2008 12:04 pm

Wife and I visited Chile in August and liked the Casas de Hacienda from the Piedra Roja developments in Chicureo, Chile.
We are interested in making an investment in '09.
Curious to hear feedback from anyone who is familiar with these houses under construction

Be careful if it's companies like Socovesa or Paz Froimovitch...

I always think of the great Monthy Python film The Holy Grail, the old man in his castle...
I built a castle on this swamp and it sank, so I built another one in the same place and that sank aswell. Then I built a 3rd one that one burnt down. The 4th castle settled on the first two that sank and so here we live.

I thought Socovesa was the best of them (most of the time) out there according to admin.

To the OP, you need to view the TVN segment on construction companies in Chile:

Socovesa is the BIGGEST RIP OFF there is in this country. The desire for ownership makes chileans look the other way as long that they have that piece of paper that says..I OWN A PIECE OF CRAP!

Wow... looks like I don't have my work cut out for me. From what I have seen around here to get a reputation as a quality build won't a hard thing to do as long as we keep our quality at Canadian Standards.

I just need to find people that are willing to learn and take a bit of criticism when something is done wrong... maybe there-in lies the problem. I have a feeling I will be hiring and firing a lot of people till I get a team together that is capable of producing the quality that I would expect in anything that is going to have my name attached to it.
