I am new to 4 seasons. What flowers will bloom year round here in Santiago? Is there such a concept? Are there flowers that can handle as little water as cacti?

Bouganvilla is a great plant that can handle the heat and comes in spectacular shades of red, orange and purple. You might have to protect it when the temps go really low.

I love bougainvillea! I had a lovely magenta one back in the USA. They are prolific in tropical areas so I wrongly assumed they could not handle cooler weather. The thorns are prolific and large so it is an excellent "guard plant". Off to the vivero. Thank you.
