work visa for self-employed?

Postby jcall on Mon May 12, 2008 4:09 am

My family and I are hoping to move to Chile in 12-18 months. I am self-employed through an internet-based freelance business. How difficult will it be to get a work visa under these circumstances?

Thanks!

if you are not working in Chile, you don't need a work visa. Retirement/periodic income visa often works best in those types of situations, but you need to be able to prove periodic income to support everyone. Big bank account, long term contracts, investment portfolio, and so on all typically work for that type of situation.
