Earth Hour

Say, don't forget to join Earth hour. For those that don't know it is a attempt to have everyone turn off there lights for one hour around the World at 22:00 hours in your local time zone.

If you have noticed even Google has turned their web site black for the day. I would turn our server off for an hour, but that would be kind of silly as we are hosted on virtuel machine. It would still use the same amount of electricity.

I almost forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder. When I lived in Costa Rica, and Panaman, we used to have EARTH DAYS! Days without electricity...at least once a month, not to mention the EARTH HOURS - that was a daily celebration! kinda cool that they thought of it first!

yea, Guatemala we had earth mins, hours, and days. The power would go out at least once an hour, and for about 1-3 hours in the afternoon. I don't think it was because they where trying to save the Earth however.

That sounds like the Latin America we all know and love! And it reminds us of part of what makes Chile so special.

What a complete load of sh%t Earth hour? Puh-leeeeez. How about holding some Chilean politicians feet to the fire and ask why they cant provide enough power for a small country with a population half that of the city of Los Angeles. Too many uncomfortable truths would come to light I suppose.
