Converting property prices

Postby ElizaJ on Wed Feb 27, 2008 3:29 pm

I have been looking on the plusvalia.cl site at property listings, and some of the prices are listed as for example '3,200 u.f.'. I know that the soft conversion for CHP to $ is 500 to 1. But what is 'u.f.'?

UF= UNIDAD DE FOMENTO
UF is constantly (daily) adjusted to refect the cost of inflation.
A today the value is $cl 19.766,45 or U$S 39.53 < NO EMAIL > FX rate of U$S 1= $cl 500

So your example breaks down to this:

3200 X $cl 19.766,45= $cl 63,252,640
$cl 63,252,640 / 500= U$S 126,505.28

Future values are in this page:

Between the right and the wrong path,I choose the machete...
