in french we have more accents than does spanish (to the best of my knowledge)
first there is the circonflexe above vowels - usually which indicates the former presence of an "s" in the word. there is the cedille used under the letter "c" to indicate an "s" sound when the rules say it should be a "k" sound. there is the trema to indicate an exception to the dipthong rules and the vowels are to be pronounced as two syllables. finally there is the accent grave which slants the opposite way from the accent aigu (acute) and indicates a "soft" vowel rather than a "hard" one.
anyway back on topic: is anyone interested in the soon to be released ubuntu version - hardy heron? i cant get midi to work with my edgy eft that i have loaded here on my desktop ordinater and reading on the ubuntu forum, this is a problem with edgy. i hope that hardy fixes that as well as the impossibility of burning a DVD (at least for me) i have a longstanding video project that is disrupted by my poor ordinater skills - especially DVD burning.
