Not if they're smart.
I just hope they don’t claim that they’re here “to serve man.”

Why not? It works. Most people believe that 'line' despite clear evidence to the contrary.

Re: Protest U.S. embassy,

The Marines will only "rescue" you if you own a business and you want help imposing your business interests on the country in which it is conducted (outside the US). (If you do not know what I am talking about, have a look at this history of Marines being used as enforcers in Latin America...

Re: Islamist sleeper cells in South America

While living in Santiago, I did a survey of the most common types of restaurants near us: number one was 'Chinese'; number two was 'Arab'. Re: New Citizenship requirements as of February 28

Last year, the Australian immigration department asked for a crime report from the FBI as part of the application for my Chilean partner to emigrate from Chile to Australia, despite the last time I lived in the US was 1986. Just because someone is in a position of power, does not imply they are sane, nor have an accurate perception of reality.
It usually implies otherwise.
I would ignore their ramblings . . . but be fearful for the consequences of their stupid, uninformed, insane use of their power.

I think that for some possible Trump futures the US needs a full SA treatment.

SA? As in sanctions similar to South Africa?
Israel would be an even better candidate for such sanctions.
Saudi Arabia can be added to the list.

Re: prepping, for the super rich

I can empathize with that. My daughter, who grew up in Sydney (albeit with a Chilean mother), started camping with me at a very young age. She developed the nouse, knowledge and wisdom, well before she was a teenager, to be able to survive in the bush or if TSHTF. My step-sons, who grew up in Santia...
