Re: Nice scam with DHL / Aduanas in Santiago

In MOST countries, the assessable value of imported goods for the purpose of determining import duty is the FOB value. In MOST countries, the assessable value of importe...

Re: The Trump Administration

The second time I have seen the term "deep state" in a comparatively staid publication. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/445042/donald-trump-washington-how-bureaucrats-are-undermining-voters The final sentences are unfortunately dead on: Who rules the United States? The simple and te...

Their currency is the warm bodies in their sphere of influence, that have no influence over them. We are just traded like playing cards. This week Russia controls the bodies in Ukraine. Perhaps next week they might trade Ukrain for some warm bodies in Syria, Poland, where ever. Perhaps Iran will tr...

Re: The Trump Administration

Well, I can kind of see why people are declining. It sort of has 'end your career here' written all over the job application. As for the 'deep state', I would take that to be more or less the same thing as eisnehower's military industrial complex. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military%E2%80%93indu...

Yea, understand the portability issue, we were trying to strike a balance between volume of water to transporting plastic ratio. All those little round bottles of water, by the time you fill a square truck, end up providing like 10% of the truck volume is really water. After getting rid of a lot of...

This time domestically: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/02/17/leaked-emails-dem-state-leaders-think-obama-s-new-organizing-army-is-grade-a-bullshit.html It is difficult to overstate just how enraged state Democratic activists and leaders are with Organizing for Action ...

Opinion: It is the 'dark state' which is "behind" the bureaucracy, whose bidding the bureaucracy executes, which is the real danger.

Re: The Trump Administration

There are several (supposedly) erudite psychological analyses of personalities that are best boiled down to the conclusion that someone is an arrogant, self-centered a**hole. Nothing new there. The only thing that might add value to the analysis is whether they are also a psychopath, or just a socio...

Re: The Trump Administration

yup. What he said: ^ It's a bit of karma. What the US has done to so many countries (destruction of democracy and democratic institutions), they are now doing to themselves. It's not the only example. Another example: The USSA government has repeatedly sponsored state and non-state terrorism, and re...
